Eric's First Camping Trip, September 1978
Welcome to my
Pigeon River Country website.
This site is a a photographic history of my 40+ years spent camping, fishing,
hunting and biking this beautiful region. The Pigeon River Country encompasses
approximately 95,000 acres and was created in October of 1973 by the Michigan
Department of Natural Resources. It is located in the northern part of
Michigan's lower peninsula and
is at the center of
the range of the only large, wild elk herd east of the Mississippi River.
I hope you enjoy the website as much as I do!
